Brian ‘Fast’ Leiser is a multi-instrumentalist from Brooklyn, NY. In 1993 he formed the band Fun Lovin’ Criminals in New York City, best known for their hit ‘Scooby Snacks’.
Fast has made a career out of blending an eclectic mix of reggae/dancehall, hip-hop/R&B, soul/funk/disco and rock to create a soundscape influenced by the streets of New York. “I think the main influence would be living in New York and working at The Limelight club in the early 90's. There were five different rooms in this club and every room had a different genre of music. There was house and dance music on the main floor, hip-hop and reggae/dancehall in the 'chapel' and rock and soul in the upstairs bar. Through working at this club I heard all this amazing music.”
