He started his career as a DJ when he moved to Australia in late 90s.
In the beginning he was strongly influenced by late 90s warehouse raves as well as underground parties in small venues around Australia. The range of music that he played was a wide variety, from house, acid house, to minimal techno. It was a challenge when Alvin came back to Indonesia in 2006, since the club scene was dominated by electro and trance - and Alvin’s passion was to introduce the minimal sound to the community. In the end, he started to creating the first minimal techno serial event in Jakarta that was called GLIMPSE. Alvin has opened for many first line up DJs such as Richie Hawtin, Deetron, Paul Kalkbrenner, and many more. Since 2016 Alvin has resided in Bali and is a part of Desøner and Axid Experience. Alvin’s DJ set is still and keeps evolving, still holding on to techno styles that is atmospheric, with dark disco and organic nuances.
