Ken Nordine - Talking All That Word Jazz interview (Ext. version, 2008)

I'm re-uploading the Ken Nordine interview we aired on Solid Steel in 2008 because it had disappeared from the web (copyright takedowns). I completely re-edited, mixed and extended it with new music and speech not included in the orig. 1998 version.

Revolution Tapes No.5 - House Music Composite - Jay B. Ross & Associates, 1980s

I’d imagine this tape was an in-house publishing/licensing showreel sent out to prospective labels and I’m guessing the timeframe, from the tracks I can identify, was around 1986-87.

MS-200 Coldcut Solid Steel 3hr Spacetime mix 21/10/1994

A rare occurrence for the show to end this run of 200 archive uploads - the traditional time of putting the clocks back is 2am - smack bang in the middle of the show - we get an extra hour. For this reason, this mix was referred to as a Spacetime mix

MS-199 Coldcut Solid Sphinx Strictly section 25/11/1994

As I’ve said before in these missives, a Solid Sphinx was an ad-free, minimal chat mix for two hours. The upside being that both we and the listeners could dive in and really immerse ourselves into the music without interruption between 1-3am.
