what formed me the most in my musical journey as an individual and therefor as a unique voice in the art of dj-ing is when, as a teenager having a regular fridaynight (allnight) residency in a local pub, which meant I had to play music from the moment the bar opened till it closed: so no way I was gonna play a track or song I didn't like. Playing for a diverse audience, dealing with the same requests over and over again, (not) pleasing the audience with my own spin on things, rofl. Givin' 'em what they need, not what they asked for. I'm peculiar that way.. 8-). Also, I have always (sort of) been fortunate that, whenever expanding my knowledge of the musical spectrum, I saw it simply as a logical progression, even an opportunity to incorporate it in future sets (however weird they would get). Mostly fully mixed & beatmatched, sometimes of the 'mixtape' style variety; or a combination of the two. Always putting the music first, and nothing else.
